Thought i made a thread about the game Oblivion.

when i bought the new graphics card in my computer i was finally able to play him
It's still a bit slow when i'm up on the earth but it plays perfectly when in fort ruins or caves

I absolutely love this, there are just endless posibilites of what you can do.
i'we played it for 18 hours total and havnt done a single bit of the main mission lolol

So anyone else who play it?

i just closed my first oblivion gate in oblivion was traveling to Kvatch when some guy came running saying the city has been attack.
I was quite upset thou, was going to look around in Kvatch, sell some stuff, check the arena and to see if there were any guilds and side-missions, but guess that's too late now as there is not much left of the city

was having some major slow down thou when fighting in kvatch had to turn all my settings down, including resolution, bloom light effect, texture quality and it was still pretty much unplayable and at the time the game was just starting to look ugly

the add on is "Knights of the nine" i bought that as well adds few side mission to the game also you can get armor for your horse, plus some other things.

wood elf is not bad, depends really on what type of gameplay you like.

i just know that Nords and Orcs are specially good for combat, think wood elfs are more magic and Marksman (bow & arrow) kinda char

Also take a quick look on your major skills, as if you want to advance in level to get better enemies and alot better wepons you need to level up your major skills, and to do that you need to use them alot, like if you have blade as one of your major skills using blade will make the skill level up, and when you have level any of your major skills 10 times you will level up by sleeping.

I would just reccomend playing the game for few hours get a the sort of feel of what type of character you are and what types of weapons and magic you like to use..

But congratz on getting oblivion man, you wont regret buying it

P.S To fast travel, go to your inventory and select your map, the bigger scale so you can see all of cyrodill, then just press any of locations on the map. Although you cant travel to place you havnt found except city's so if you want to get to some cave or something you will have to walk or run there travel by horse if you have one. There are absolutely 1000's of places to find in oblivion, so just exploring on foot is the best way to discover all the caves, fort ruins and all those stuffs. but it can be a pain in the a** like you said.

Nice, also Bazzy just to let you know ill be installing a mod that when you have an image that exceeds the size on the forum itll resize it down, but you can click it to view in fullsize, and instead of opening in a new page it opens in a javascript sort of way. Looks cool but its hard to explain so you will notice once its up and running

I think in Oblivion im a Nord, but im not sure. Its for Xbox 3630 so I cant really get screenz.

To be honest m8, the bow and arrows are only good if you like sneak and hit them with a sneak shot so its like 1 arrow to kill, other than that it can be like 3-5 arrows and annoys the hell out of you if you miss.

Also, buy a horse, I just stole one Had a guy chasing me about 1/4 of the map

horses are for sale in every city in oblivion except Imperial City, The Orc who runs the stables there kinda like to eat them lol so no horses for sale there horses will cost from 500-5000 depends on how strong and fast it is.

When it comes to combat i try to use all the weapons, Blades,Blunt Weapons, Bows and magic dont use magic that much thou as my char is not very skilled there lol.

I would recomend having Security as one of your Major skills as you will probably notice some chests needs to opened with lockpick for you to be able to get their treasures hidden inside.
Also in some quests you might need to get into a locked house, I know the little minigame where you get up when you try to open locked things can be very annoying, a little tip thou, keep pushing the pin until it falls fast. Right after it falls the fastest, it will fall the slowest and you can get it to stick. I rarely break picks that way, but i'm a journeyman in security so that helps alot

take a look at this video it helped me
